The days go by and you're still not home, As everyday passes, I feel more alone. Everyday passes, I wait for your return, I know you're not coming but I still have to learn. You're no where to be find, I can't hear you speak, It's like a life-long game of hide and seek. I look around the room hoping to see your face, But all I see now is a big empty space. I still ring your phone hoping you're there, Then I realise you're not, why is life so unfair? But screaming and crying will not bring you here, But never seeing you again is something I fear. You mean the world to me, even now that you're gone, I maybe crying now, but I know I can be strong. So now, I guess that this is the end, Life goes on and my heart will mend. I know I've been told it won't take a day, But forever in my heart is where you will stay. So I'll go back to my life with this as my goodbye, I hope you are reading this from up in the sky. I love you so much, you still are the best, Now you're soul is laid down to rest. These falling tears seem to never end, Cause' not only was you Mum, you was my best friend.
